Do you wonder why things are not getting any better? Do you keep telling friends you are fed up of being in the same old place all the time and wish things would get better?
If so, analyse the words you are saying when you want change. Do you describe what you do want or are you always harping on about how bad things are and what you have to endure.
Do you keep doing the same things in the same old way and wonder why things do not change?
It is no good doing visualisations for what you want for twenty minutes a day and then spend the other 1420 minutes talking bout how bad things are, feeling stressed and angry about the situation and going to bed with your final thoughts being on how disastrous the day has been.
You get what you focus on so if you are focussed on not having money that is what you will get. If you focus on being overweight that is what will happen.
Your thoughts have to be positive stating what you do want and not on what you don't.
How do you know if you are resisting?
This is easy. You do not feel happy. You have a not in your stomach, the energy cannot flow it is stuck. Your throat is dry; your juices do not flow. You feel as though you have the weight of the world pressing down on you. Does that seem familiar?
You seem to take a step forward and then you move two steps back. The progress you do make always seems offset by setbacks and your thoughts move back to how you where before you moved forward.
Some knots in the stomach are good as they prevent you doing things that are dangerous and not good for you. We all want to feel good and light and free. Do you remember the times when nothing seemed impossible? How good did that feel?
Getting the energy to flow
First get very clear as to why you want to change. What is the end value of your actions? Do you want security, freedom, safety or maybe adventure? Once you are clear why you want it, be clear of the consequences of not making the change. Write these statements down.
At first as you read them you will literally feel sick in your stomach and this is true resistance. Now take each statement and reframe it so it becomes a positive statement. E.g. Instead of "We will lose our house" it becomes, "We will have more than enough money to pay the mortgage and be able to make some improvements to our house."
You could go even further and describe in detail the improvements that will be made thinking about materials used, colours, designs and finishing touches.
Be grateful for what you have already. There is always something to be grateful for if you look. Even if it having a jar or a dish to put any extra money in! Do not be a victim. Appreciate everything. Look for the positive.
You are lucky to be able to breathe and if you are breathing you are able to make changes. Each small step is one step nearer to your goal. Focus on going forward and not looking back.
Build a new reality in your life. You can make the changes. Enjoy each new experience. Learn to live your dream.
Have you ever watched TV programmes where they sell houses? They make sure the house is already for you to move into. They have moved the owners things out and then have a blank canvas for you to move your things in.
If the sellers, be that agents or the homeowners themselves, are any good they invite you to imagine you living in the home. They encourage you to expand your new reality and think of want you might need to buy to have your dream.
Suddenly you know you want that house and you will do what you can to get it. You start planning trips to the building society or bank to see if they will lend you the money. You start selling unwanted goods, you talk to relatives who are good at DIY and yet you haven't even left their house let alone agreed to buy it!
Do you remember that wonderful feeling of being caught up in the moment and getting really excited about what you were doing? Hold on to that feeling as it is that feeling that makes things happen.
You will start energy moving to fill the needs to make your dreams come true. You will have fire in your belly and find all the energy you need to perform tasks.
How many times have you felt too tired to move and it was an effort even to lie on the couch and watch the television. Then you get a phone call or a friend comes round and suddenly you feel alive again. You rush to get ready or you cook a meal.
All thoughts of tiredness had gone and yet nothing has changed except someone coming into your space with an idea to do something that you found interesting.
Sharing your dreams with another person also helps create energy and ideas of how to make them come true come thick and fast as you bounce ideas and plans off each other.
Remember whenever you come across a situation that leaves you feeling anything but happy reframe it so that it becomes a positive and you will unblock your resistance to our dreams and you will no longer be stuck in the past.
