Internal Chatter – The importance of listening to it to find your attitude to money - By Vanessa Spick
Do you know that internal chatter can, will and does shape the events of your life? Some of it is deliberate and conscious, but most of it is subliminal and unconscious - meaning that the internal chatter is happening but we are not noticing it or seeming to paying much attention to it.
Internal chatter is the voice in the head which encourages or discourages an individual from taking action depending on the information the subconscious and conscious mind receives. It happens all the time as we are going about our everyday activities.
It can take the form of positive talk, which helps to us to develop our thoughts to attract the things we want or negative chatter, which at best is irksome and at worst totally destructive .
Negative internal chatter is one of the most limiting forms of expression you can take part in. Learning to see, observe and listen without your own emotional filters and negative internal chatter limiting your goals can be done but takes practice and vigilance.
When you see someone who has a lot of money and displays their wealth listen to what your internal chatter says. Do you find yourself saying things like, "It's okay for them they don't have to scrape together for necessities." or "I never have enough money for things like that."?
It is these thoughts that influence your attitude to money. Instead of being jealous or begrudging when people show they have wealth try saying, "It is good to see people enjoying their money." If someone goes by in a car you would really like say, "I could afford one like that," or "Bless you, and you deserve to have that. I hope you enjoy driving it"
As you become aware of your chatter and you change it to positive thoughts of money you will find that money will start to come to you. It may come in small amounts at first so make sure you are on the lookout for it. When it does come make sure you say thank you, no matter how small the amount is.
It could be you find coupons in a magazine or a paper. The book you always wanted might be discounted or groceries you need might have a buy one get one free offer. They all add up. If you think it doesn't keep a record of all the small monetary gains you have and then add them up. You will be surprised at how much as been given to you.
If we are not grateful for what we do have how are we going to be grateful for our future acquisitions? Be sure to share your wealth with others and not keep it all for yourself. The more you are comfortable with what you have the more you will attract.
