5 steps to living life with passion - Vanessa Spick
1. Set one goal in life that you want to achieve but is out of your comfort zone. It can be in any area of your life; health, wealth, relationships, career, spiritual growth, leisure or family. Make it something that you have always wanted to do and then make it even bigger.
2. Devise an action plan for this goal. Set long, medium and short term goals. Long term goals should be something you want to achieve in about five years time. Medium term goals are for what you will achieve in one years time and short term goals are for what you want to achieve in one or two weeks.
Everyday spend time working towards your short term goal. Make it your priority. Put it in your diary and schedule everything else around it .Each day you will become more and more focused as you reach your short term goals.
3. Live each day as though it was your last and set out to make the most of your time. Visit or speak to friends and relatives. Forget past grievances they just drain your energies.
As well as living each day as though it was your last live it as though it was your first. Enjoy all the sights, smell, sounds, tastes and things you touch as though it is the first time you have ever experienced them.
4. Keep a gratitude journal. Make it a ritual every night to write down at least 10 things that have happened to be grateful for. They may be major things or small things. Everything is relative and pertinent to an individual. The sight of a tree in full autumn colour might be a pleasant experience to one person but to another facing an operation the next day that could mean the loss of his sight is a very lasting experience.
5. Perform a random act of kindness. Again this should be a daily practice. It might be putting some money in a parking meter that has gone over time or buying some food for a homeless person. It doesn't have to be a large act but it does have to be something from which you expect no thanks. As the days go on you will find yourself wanting to do more and more and also to be more creative with your acts.
